"I'm telling you to be more aware of your situation."
"Aware of what? I’m perfectly well aware that I am his fucking pet..."
"No, Riki. I am saying that you are the one who's dragged a Blondy, a man who's the very incarnation of pride, down to the level of a mere sexaroid."
As if Katze had slapped him across the face, Riki’s eyes opened wide.
"For Iason to bed you is exactly that. One of the most powerful men in Tanagura lusting after a lowly slum mongrel. Have you ever wondered what that means?"
At that moment, Riki felt a stabbing pain in his temples.
Iason... lusting after me?
Riki had never thought about it.
Because for Riki, sex with Iason was never a matter of choice. Iason was the absolute ruler, and Riki was nothing but a pet who couldn’t even assert his basic rights.
"For a Blondy, this is the ultimate disgrace!" Katze asserted.
Hearing Katze—whose relationship with Iason was much deeper than his own—say this, Riki was lost for words.
"Still, Iason knows this and chooses to keep you. And on top of that, grants you this unprecedented level of freedom. I want you to be aware of just how much risk Iason is assuming for your sake."
And with that, Katze turned back to his desk and got back to work, as if nothing had happened.
Iason, assuming a risk? For my sake?
It felt to Riki like someone had punched him and then roundhouse-kicked him in the back of the head.
Up until now, Riki thought of himself as someone whose life was taken over by Iason who then forcibly
twisted it out of shape. Some part of the blame certainly fell on Riki, but he had never volunteered to become a pet.
So when Katze said Riki was responsible for dragging Iason to the level of a sexaroid, he was completely taken aback.
What did he mean, Iason feeling lust? Iason... assuming a risk?
Riki’s face slowly drained of color as he mulled these words that were thrust right in his face.
"AnK."
I feel, like this is either a mistranslation, or a somewhat misdirected point of view on Katze`s part. Iason is hardly doing what he does FOR Riki. Because of him, yes. But not FOR him. That he chooses to hurt himself in the process is a choice of what`s better for Iason himself. Riki is still very much an object of the infatuation, not a person with feelings, interests and a free will. Let`s hope, that Katze is just pointing out, how much Iason sacrifices to keep Riki by his side, which is unusual and damaging as hell, and if Iason is still doing it, then Riki must be truly important and needed.
